FINED FOR HONESTY
Richard Chapman was concerned he had stowaways on board when he heard noises from the back of his lorry as he made his way to Calais to get a Dover ferry.

At the French port he went to a British immigration post where the men were found inside a giant paper conveyor machine in his truck.

But instead of getting a pat on the back from the immigration officers, they told him the checkpoint was technically part of UK soil and fined him under laws which penalise drivers for having illegals in their vehicles.

His company Mernagh Transport, based in Co Kilkenny, Ireland, was also fined £5,100, which was £850 for each of the Asian stowaways.

A Home Office spokesman said, “There is a penalty regime which encourages hauliers to check and secure their vehicles. Consideration will be given to whether the firm and driver operated an effective system for preventing the carriage of clandestines.” (Source:

KEEPS RETURNING
An illegal immigrant has been sent packing by UK officials SEVEN TIMES in two years. The reject was among 3,500 kicked out of Britain at least twice over a similar period.

Ministers said of 108,904 illegals or failed asylum seekers that were despatched between November 2003 and the end of September 2005, 3,500 had been deported before.

The bill for taxpayers to keep removing the same people is said to run into hundreds of thousands of pounds. The Home Office insisted the figures showed Britain’s immigration controls worked. (Source:

IT'S A START
Police swoops on foreigners at railway stations have outraged human rights campaigners. Passengers were quizzed and three people held in raids at three stations in Norfolk as part of a crackdown on illegal immigrants. Liberty's legal director James Welsh said, "Asking people who look foreign for their residency papers seems like race discrimination to us." Or, a step in the right direction.
BETTER LATE ....
Five illegal immigrants arrested after being sent to work at the offices of the immigration service had been employed on the service's premises for years. Five Nigerians had been sent to the London offices of the Immigration and Nationality Directorate (IND) by the contract cleaning firm Techclean. (Source:

ONE-WAY TICKETS
More than 200 eastern European migrants who failed to find work in Britain have been escorted onto coaches leaving London's Victoria Coach Station for Poland and other destinations at taxpayers' expense.

Their one-way tickets, costing £50, were bought by the Home Office at a total cost of £10,000. (Source:

IMMIGRANTS

Home Office chiefs are wasting hundreds of thousands of pounds on a survey asking migrants if they like Britain. Bosses at the UK Border Agency want to know whether immigrants like living in the UK and what could be done to make their lives better. A massive nationwide “Migrant Survey” of up to 50,000 refugees, foreign students, asylum seekers and overseas workers is to be undertaken to discover their views on life in Britain.

Public spending campaigners and politicians condemned the exercise as a waste of taxpayers’ money. Matthew Elliott, chief executive of the TaxPayers’ Alliance, said, “It is ridiculous to be pandering to the needs of Britain’s migrant population with a costly survey to ask how they’re getting on. If they didn’t like the UK they wouldn’t have moved here in the first place. They are clearly able to vote with their feet and this is a foolish waste of taxpayers’ money."

A Home Office spokesman refused to comment on the cost of the survey, but said the future of the project depends on who wins the General Election, adding, “Any new government would have to make a decision regarding the future of this survey.” But a Home Office source said the year-long project would easily cost several hundred thousand pounds. Senior Tory Nicholas Soames joined the condemnation, describing the survey as an “absurd waste of taxpayers’ money”.

A feasibility study has already been completed and the Home Office is now inviting bids from private companies, which they estimate will have to contact more than 50,000 migrants, to conduct doorstep interviews across Britain. The survey aims to “explore the perceptions of a wide range of migrants, including asylum seekers, refugees, economic migrants, foreign students and immigrants joining their families in the UK”.

It states that in order to “address a key evidence gap” in its data it needs a “sample size” of between 4,000 and 6,000 migrants to help develop immigration policy. The Border Agency, which is run by the Home Office, states that it wants to “conduct a large-scale face-to-face survey of migrants in the UK” to find out about their experiences, both “positive and negative”. Other questions will ask why they came here and whether they “intend on staying permanently”.

They will also ask about migrants’ use of public services, such as libraries, buses, schools and health care, and also how they are contributing to the UK. The survey also aims to find out what migrants think could be done to improve the immigration system and what their “perceptions” are of Britain. And the research aims to “uniquely compare the experiences of different migrant groups”. (Source:

Two illegal immigrants arrested at a service station on the A1 near Nottingham, have disappeared after being set free, given a map and told to travel to London to give themselves up. The men were held after climbing out of the back of a lorry that had come from the Continent but immigration officials were too busy to handle the case. Police had to release the pair and tell them to present themselves at the Immigration HQ in Croydon, South London, to be deported.

It's believed the men were from Iran. They were taken to Worksop police station after failing to produce any valid paperwork but they were released within hours and have not been seen since. A police source said, "If they arrived from Iran that's a massive and very dangerous journey. They are hardly going to put themselves up for deportation. It makes us wonder why they bother arresting suspected illegal immigrants." (Source:

One in seven of the migrants arriving from eastern Europe will not be working to support themselves. Statistics show that in the final three months of 2006, 59,970 migrants, accompanied by 9,695 dependants, registered to work in Britain. They also show that child benefit payments rose dramatically with nearly 33,000 applications approved last year compared with 10,000 in 2005. More than 45,000 east European migrants now receive the benefit. The Home Office statistics also show the number of arrivals is continuing to rise with 224,195 coming last year, an extra 20,000 on the year before, taking the overall total from Poland and the seven other new EU members to 579,000 since 2004. Ministers pointed out that more than 6,000 were now employed as care workers and more than 1,000 worked as nurses or doctors or in other medical occupations, with 700 in teaching. Tory party chairman Francis Maude said immigration has been a huge success. The Tories dumped their pledge to cap the number of asylum seekers coming to the UK and they insisted they would scrap the Government’s register of Eastern Europeans pouring into the country. Mr Maude said, “People need to know that we are decent people who have the interests of the country at heart.” (Source: The Sun)

Terrorists and illegal immigrants can swan into Britain by ferry without any passport or ID checks. The People newspaper discovered security lapses allowed a reporter to travel from Calais to Dover by Hoverspeed without being challenged once. After a 45-minute crossing he arrived at the port and was able to stroll through the terminal and disappear into the streets, all for a £15 one-way ticket. The amazing catalogue of security blunders started at Calais and included:

Walking unchallenged the wrong way through an exit door meant for arriving foot passengers only.

Strolling past an unmanned immigration control desk, ambling along a corridor and leaving the building.

He was ignored by a gendarme in a parked car and ferry staff as he looked around to get his bearings. He got on a shuttle bus taking foot passengers to a waiting ferry and mingled with people as they all boarded the boat. As a result the reporter completely avoided passport control for departing passengers. He had to show a boarding card before getting on the ferry, but this had earlier been given to him in exchange for his pre-paid ticket and was a formality.

At Dover, the security lapses were as bad as in France. The reporter queued for a coach for the 300 metre ride to the arrivals hall where he joined travellers laden with booze going through an unmanned Customs area. A man in grey overalls unloaked an exit door without fuss for him to walk out on to the streets. Again, there were no passport or security checks whatsoever. In fact, it had been harder for the reporter to get out of the UK than in to it.

When he left Dover with a photographer in a car, they had to show passports and were quizzed about what was in the boot. Home Secretary Charles Clarke admitted there is no 24-hour immigration cover at Dover even though 44,000 illegal immigrants had been caught there over the past seven years. A Home Office spokeswoman said, "We would be very concerned if individuals are seeking to circumvent our controls." (Source:

After hearing that Birmingham City Council let a Muslim woman have her picture on her driving licence with her face covered, a UK citizen wrote to a national newspaper who published the following article

IMMIGRANTS, NOT BRITON'S, MUST ADAPT
Take it or Leave It! I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on London, we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Brits. However, the dust from the attacks has barely settled and the "politically correct" crowd begin complaining about the possibility that our patriotism is offending others.

I am not against immigration, nor do I hold a grudge against anyone who is seeking a better life by coming to Britain. However, there are a few things that those who have recently come to our country, and apparently some born here, need to understand. This idea of London being a multicultural community has served only to dilute our sovereignty and our national identity.

As Britons, we have our own culture, our own society, our own language and our own lifestyle. This culture has been developed over centuries of struggles, trials and victories by millions of men and women who have gave there lives in the pursuit of freedom. We speak ENGLISH, not Spanish, Lebanese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society, learn the language!

"IN GOD WE TRUST" is our National Motto. This is not some Christian, right wing, Political slogan. We adopted this motto because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented. it is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture.

If the St George's cross of England, St Andrews cross of Scotland the Welsh Dragon or the Red Hand of Ulster offends you, then you should seriously consider a move to another part of this planet. We are happy with our culture and have no desire to change, and we really don't care how you did things where you came from.

This is OUR COUNTRY, OUR LAND; and OUR LIFESTYLE, and we will allow you every opportunity to enjoy all this. But once you are done fucking complaining, whining, and griping about Our Flags, Our Pledge, Our National Motto, or Our Way of Life, I highly encourage you to take advantage of one other Great British freedom, "THE RIGHT TO LEAVE".

If you aren't happy here then FUCK OFF! We didn't force you to come here. You asked to be here. So accept the country YOU accepted. It's pretty easy really when you think about it.
