£750M TO PROVIDE HOMES
More than £750million of taxpayers’ money has been spent on providing homes for asylum seekers over the past four years.

The huge sum lavished on council houses and other social homes for the families of foreign nationals claiming asylum here was disclosed in statistics released by the Home Office.

And the expenditure on accommodating claimants has been handed out while around 1.8million people, largely British-born, are languishing on waiting lists for council houses.

The latest figures, released in response to a Parliamentary Written Question from Tory frontbencher Grant Shapps, showed a total of £752million has been paid by the Home Office to social housing organisations since 2006.

The figures show that £51.1million was paid to Glasgow City Council to provide homes for asylum seekers over the period.

Liverpool City Council was paid £14.3million, Nottingham City Council was paid £19million and Cardiff City Council was paid £14.5million.

Separate Home Office figures showed that there were more than 24,000 asylum seeker families living in council accommodation at the end of last year.

Expenditure on social housing for asylum seekers has nearly doubled from around £132million in 2007-08 to £230million last year.

Immigration minister Phil Woolas said, “It is an absolute priority that accommodation for asylum seekers provides taxpayers value for money.

£200M A YEAR
A government report reveals that foreign patients who use the NHS free of charge are costing taxpayers more than £200million a year. Hospitals are being pushed further into debt because they are failing to claim the millions owed by foreigners abusing the system.

The study by the Department of Health (£62million a year) does not include the cost of treating foreigners entitled to free healthcare, such as asylum seekers and students.

If these patients are included, the cost to the NHS rises to up to £248million. Because just £30million of the £62million in charges which should be paid by foreign visitors is actually recovered by NHS trusts, taxpayers are left to pay the overall deficit of £216million.

The 'health tourists' not entitled to free treatment include pregnant women who arrive on holiday visas and give birth here. Many foreign HIV sufferers also target UK hospitals for treatment. (Source:

£62M BILL
A confidential internal report on health tourism estimates that the bill for treating foreign patients amounts to at least £62 million a year. A survey has found that NHS managers are failing to ensure patients are asked to prove their eligibility and are chasing only around half of the debts owed.

The findings suggest that taxpayers are picking up hospital bills for foreign patients that come to more than £30 million a year. Some of the £62 million is paid back by the patients.

A spokeswoman for the Department of Health said that it refused to accept the findings of its own report, insisting that it was based on a sample of only 12 trusts.

She claimed that the “situation is much better than it was three years ago” but conceded that the department could not produce figures to prove it.

She added, “We are in the middle of a review with the Home Office, which is looking at tightening up enforcement of the regulations.” (Source:

IMMIGRANTS - HEALTH & HOUSING

A report recently revealed that Newham, in the East End of London, is the tuberculosis capital of the western world. Its TB rate is double that of India. The increase of asylum seeking and immigration into our already overcrowded cities has reintroduced a disease commonly known as 'the white plague' endangering the lives of thousands in the process. The reluctance of the authorities to confront the truth, which could cause an epidemic posing a terrifying threat to the nation's health, has led to some experts breaking ranks in a bid to get to grips with the situation before it spirals out of control.

Dr Peter Davies a consultant chest physician is one such expert. "We simply have to say clearly, once and for all, that the true cause of the return of tuberculosis in Britain is immigration. We just have to overcome this taboo about race and TB and look at the facts directly." Dr Davies is not alone in his analysis. Professor Peter Ormerod, one of the leading British experts on the disease, says, "People can say what they like about racism, but facts are facts .…more than 56% of the TB cases in Britain today are in people who were born abroad."

It is not racist to point out these facts nor is it the fault of the immigrants who carry this deadly plague. The blame lies with a liberal elite who, in pursuit of their multicultural Utopia, refuse to effectively deal with the asylum-seeker issue and in their impossible tight rope-balancing act of not offending the sensibilities of ethnic minorities show their true contempt for the indigenous population. The World Health Organisation estimates that "as many as 50% of the world's refugees may be infected with TB", a terrifying statistic when you consider that Britain is one of the most popular destinations for so-called refugees, indeed asylum-seekers coming through Heathrow are 22 times more likely to be suffering from TB than Britons.

This can only serve to pour fuel on the flames that are already burning fiercely. The disease is already thriving in many cities such as Birmingham, Bradford, Wolverhampton, Blackburn, Bolton and Leicester, each with its own distinctive immigrant population. Established immigrants going back home to visit a country with a high rate of TB, or being visited by relatives who then import the disease, further aggravate the situation. According to the Public Health Laboratory Service the average infection rate for black Africans in 1998 was 210 per 100,000, and for those from the Indian sub-continent 121 per 100,000. This contrasts with just 4.4 per 100,000 for the indigenous white population.

That said, white people can catch TB - which is now developing new strains with strong resistance to antibiotics, just as easily as non-whites, so the widespread NHS practice of immunising only Asian children and refusing to give the same protection to white children is both racist and a deadly threat to our own youngsters. It is a fundamental duty of any government to safeguard the nation's health, but the handling of this issue amounts to wilful neglect by the political establishment. We deserve to live in security, without the fear of such an unnecessary threat. It is clear that only our party recognises the most basic obligation of any government, putting its own people first! The cost to the NHS of treating asylum seekers and other immigrants with infectious diseases could be more than £1 billion for each year's arrivals. Research by think tank Migrationwatch says the number of cases could run into tens of thousands. The infections of particular concern are Aids, the hepatitis viruses B and C and tuberculosis, it said. These diseases represent specific, previously uncommon infections which, in some sending countries, are much more prevalent than in the UK, it said.

"The potential cost to the NHS is enormous in both financial and staff terms," said Roger Williams, professor of hepatology at University College, London. "It is absolutely essential that firm action be taken to prevent any further increase in this growing pool of potential infection. Furthermore, even a fraction of the money spent in the UK would treat a far larger number of patients in their own countries." The authors multiplied the incidence of these diseases in the sending countries by the number of migrants from them to get an approximate measure of the likely number of cases arriving in Britain, the organisation said.

For Aids patients, it has been estimated that modern anti-viral therapy costs at least £15,000 a year, while for hepatitis B and C the cost of annual therapy is £10-12,000, Migrationwatch said. A Department of Health spokeswoman said, "Access to the NHS is based on residence in the UK. A person who has made a formal application for permission to take refuge in the UK is exempt from charges for any NHS treatment received."

England and Wales today have a population density of over 800 people to the square mile. Leaving aside such island city-states as Singapore and Hong Kong, we now equal Holland as the most densely populated country in the world. As a result, the concrete mixers work non-stop expanding every city, every country town and hundreds of villages as thousands of acres of our countryside disappear forever. New Labour's Government planners are working on a figure of 5.5 million new houses to be built on over 1000 square miles of virgin countryside by 2015! When last in power the Tories planned for 4.4 million.

Why has this demand for more housing come about? Is it our expanding birth-rate? Hardly, Britain's birth rate has meandered between 1.8 and 1.7 children per family over the past decade. It is now the lowest ever, recorded at 1.66 children per woman, well below the 2.07 level needed to keep the population constant. If this low figure continued until 2100 it would mean that our population would shrink to almost half of the present 60 million and the new houses would not be required. Although the liberals do their best to avoid stating the obvious, it is the effect of mass immigration - legal, illegal and asylum seekers - that is destroying our country aesthetically. It is not a race problem, for in this instance it does not matter if they are black, brown, white or zebra-striped.

One does not need to have a degree in statistics or economics to realise that the millions of immigrants that have poured into Britain over the past twenty years have to live somewhere. Additionally, many ‘ethnic’ families are adding to the problem by their considerably higher birth-rate. The concrete mixers are primarily at work to accommodate the ever increasing 'white flight' of the natives of these islands as they get out of the towns and cities as fast as they can and irrespective of how much it costs.

However, the younger people in the cities who need to stay where their work is, particularly nurses and teachers, are priced out of the market. They have the alternative of staying at home with mum or sharing a rented flat. The result is that marriage, or living in a permanent relationship is put on hold and having children is simply not an economic proposition for most. Yet according to David Coleman, a Reader in Demography at Oxford University, for the past thirty years women throughout Britain and Europe have told surveys that they wanted to have at least two children. Thus the decline in our birth rate is accelerated and the threat to our continued existence as a people brought about by the sheer weight of numbers is magnified.

Britain will need to build a MILLION new homes to cope with the flood of immigrants, a shock report revealed. And that does not even include housing for those who enter the country illegally, according to a think-tank. Just accommodating asylum seekers and migrants with work visas over the next two decades will mean building one new home for every four that currently exist in the South of England. And in the South East, traditionally the country’s most affluent region, immigration will have a massive “negative impact”, according to the organisation Migrationwatch. Its report warned the area will face “an unmanageable housing problem” and claimed people will begin to leave London and its suburbs for other areas of the country as the quality of life there diminishes.

Eventually immigration will have “serious consequences” for the nature of British society, according to think-tank chairman Sir Andrew Green. Migrationwatch says the number of homes needed in the South East by 2021 is estimated at 4.3 million, an increase of 26.5%. The South West will need 25.5% more, the East of the country 25%, London 22.7% and East Midlands 21%. Currently 120,000 new homes are being built each year. That will need to rise to 200,000, according to Migrationwatch. The estimated cost of building services to go with the new homes is a whopping £20billion.

New roads, hospitals, schools and public transport will all be needed, and huge swathes of the countryside will be gobbled up. House prices will continue to rocket as a result of shortages, the think-tank claims. Alarmingly the figures do not take into account the unknown number of illegal immigrants who will need accommodation. Sir Andrew, former British ambassador to Saudi Arabia, said, “Continued immigration on this massive scale will have serious consequences for our quality of life and eventually for the whole nature of our society. The government has clearly failed to consider the huge costs of providing infrastructure when calculating the economic impact of migration.”

Almost two million new homes will have to be built just to cope with the immigrant influx. It means 263 houses must go up every day until 2026, the equivalent of five cities the size of Birmingham during the next 18 years. Four in 10 of all new homes will go to new migrants, a report by Migrationwatch UK claims. Chairman Sir Andrew Green said immigration levels “are 25 times higher than at any time in nearly a thousand years of our history”.

He said, “The economic ‘benefits’ are trumpeted by the Government at every opportunity. But very little is ever heard of the costs, such as the huge addition to infrastructure requirements in order to build the millions of homes required for new immigrants. The extra pressure on schools, transport and health services “will have massive ramifications for everyone living in this country for decades to come.”

Migration into England will grow from 130,000 a year now to 171,500 in 2026, according to the Government’s own projections. Sir Andrew said the country is already very nearly the most crowded in Europe. He added, “We cannot allow this to continue. Our objective now must be a broad balance between immigration and emigration.” The growth of the annual influx will see the number of new immigrant households rise from 73,000 now to 96,000 in 2026. It means 263 new homes will be needed just for migrants every day, or more than 1.8million over the next 18 years.

New households overall will rise from 223,000 a year to 246,000. New migrant homes will account for 39% of those. The report concludes, “The overall economic benefit of migration is small and heavily outweighed by the implications of adding 18million to our population in the next 50 years.” Houses are allocated on a need basis, meaning immigrants are often more likely to be given a property as they are frequently newly arrived in the country with nowhere to live. In 2006 immigrants were handed 10,000 council homes worth £1.3billion, with the Government paying almost half that amount.

The remainder was funded by housing associations and developers. The Government’s equality chief Trevor Phillips recently said the fear that migrants are jumping council queues for homes is fuelling tensions. The report also attacks what it calls the Government’s “four favourite fibs” on the benefits of immigration. It dismisses claims that migrants are needed to fill 600,000 job vacancies, because around 900,000 people have come since 2001 but the vacancies remain the same. It rejects suggestions that immigrants account for 8% of the workforce but contribute 10% of gross domestic product.

It also attacks claims that immigrant earnings are 13% higher than those of indigenous workers and claims that our pensions depend on immigrants were rejected by the Lords committee five years ago. The report comes as around a million migrants gather on the coast of Libya planning a sea crossing to Europe, some hoping to head for the UK. Of the 30,000 migrants who made it from Africa to Europe last year, about two-thirds used the Libyan route. There are growing fears that Labour’s open-door policy is putting an increasing strain on already overstretched resources.

The Home Office said, “There are legitimate concerns about managing some of the effects of migration on communities. We are listening to these concerns. It is why we are bringing sweeping changes to the immigration system, including the introduction of an Australian-style points-based system so only those Britain needs can come to work and study. It is also why we are maintaining restrictions on Bulgarian and Romanians. The Migration Advisory Com-mittee is advising us on how migration can sensibly fill skills shortages.” (Source:

An NHS hospital is spending £6,000 a week on an illegal immigrant with TB who refuses to be treated. The money is being spent keeping him in a special isolation unit. Air pumped into the room is filtered to reduce the risk of infecting other people. Note, REDUCE the risk not PREVENT.
