DERBY CITY COUNCIL, COUNTRY
COUSINS, INVITE US ALL TO A PONDER THE
SQUANDER SQUARE DANCE
Derby City Council proves its country
bumpkin status once again! Once more we are
treated to examples of the profligate manner in
which our taxes are used and abused as a
permanent and bottomless purse by the City and
County Councils, both of which have an unlimited
capacity to throw our money down their drains,
the act of which they have been allowed to get
away with for much too long by the electorate.
Perhaps these councillors think that we are all
hillbillies, incapable of figurin em
out. (Wrong, we have figured them out).
Having squandered more of our precious city
riverside resources on flogging off the old Full
Street Police Station to Wilson Bowden developers
for £4.25 million for yet more apartments,
low-cost houses, restaurants and bars, presumably
to go with the other apartments, low-cost houses,
restaurants and bars in the Riverlights project
about 200 metres away, the Council now finds
itself at odds with the County Council (another
group of individuals of equal talent) and the
police authority, over the £425,000 that is
left, but which the triumvirate cannot decide how
to divvy up.
It is reported that the leader of the County
Council, Councillor John Williams has stated;Ive got a
good working relationship with the leader of the
City Council and the chairman of the police
authority so Im confident well sort
it out very amiably
So
good a relationship, and so amiably, that an
independent arbitrator is being brought in at a
cost of several thousand pounds to taxpayers, to
decide how to splash the cash. The
constant hogwash which emanates from these people
makes a person wonder how anyone can be so
mentally challenged as to actually vote for them
when the elections come round. Unfortunately,
there is no cure for such a terminal decline and
the same drones will put their respective
thumbprints in the same boxes the next time that
they are encouraged to do so.
This never affects those dullards, it affects the
rest of us who dont know what to do to
force the changes needed. The politicians must
laugh their collective socks off, all the way to
the bank. Dangle the carrots, open the gates,
watch the piggies leave big brother and co., just
long enough to vote the rest of us another period
of misery, with more doom and gloom for the city.
Changes must come, this old part politics
bandwagon cannot be allowed to carry on rolling
over and crushing us indefinitely. Central
government is directly responsible for the rise
in an unending list of social ills; poverty, drug
abuse, illegal immigration, asylum seekers,
muggings, vandalism, inflation and soaring
property prices, combined with a breakdown in
public transport, policing, hospital and public
health services, poor quality broadcasting and
open season to profiteers and plunderers from all
over the world, including giant casino
conglomerates.
These strangleholds on the economy and the people
are completed by the phasing out and selling off
of every British native and home-grown skill in
existence, whatever it may be, but personified by
selling British vehicle production out to Europe,
Russia, America and China, whilst importing cheap
labour from Eastern Europe and elsewhere to
further blacken the plight of the native
population worst affected by it.
Most of the time these immigrants are housed,
fed, clothed and nursed by the state at the cost
of the taxpayer, whilst at the same time being
employed by companies and individuals who pay
less than the minimum wage, thus not only
exploiting the immigrant, who is not to blame,
but feeding like parasites off the over laden
backs of the ordinary taxpayer.
Local Authorities such as Derby City, and
Derbyshire County Councils are equally
responsible for administering the City and the
County for central government, and instead of
starving these policies often nurture them,
blindly carrying out government edicts as if
carrying an Olympic torch. However, this should
be balanced by good housekeeping and a sensible
approach, local needs must be paramount.
We dont need (nor should we tolerate) local
politicians who carry out policies which central
government states they must implement, where they
are at odds with what is right for the community
in their area. Such specimens must be ousted at
the first opportunity, hounded out if necessary,
and independents installed in their place
straight away.
Only by such radical surgery will we prevent the
kind of lamentable situation outlined by this
latest (known about) fiasco, the unedifying site
of a council which is responsible for the biggest
corporate mess in the history of this city, the
loss and decline of public buildings and estate
on an industrial scale, and, above all, a
smugness which one might only otherwise encounter
in naughty little boys, from continuing to wreck
this once orderly and civilised place.
